Hello all!

My name is Melanie and I am a Senior here @ Albertus. I aspire to graduate in May with a Bachelor's in General Studies! I live in Branford and have worked in the Accounting Dept. @ Honeywell for the past 12 years. I'm single and have no children--perhaps someday. Having worked with numbers for so long, I thought it was about time to finish up my degree which I began @ St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY. For so long, I was told by many that photography is simply a hobby. I set out to prove 'em wrong by taking pictures for the student newspaper and taking a B&W Photo class @ RIT. I absolutely loved every minute of every day when I was taking pictures--and still do! Enrolling in this Digital Photography course will be the ultimate challenge for me, though, as I have traditionally photographed the world with film. I must admit it has become quite an expensive "hobby" as I watch more and more print shops close and I have to drive farther and farther away--although I do love to travel. When I'm not driving 50 miles to my favorite print shop, I love walking on the beach (Water's Edge in Westbrook is a fave), beach combing for shells (I've perfected the Sanibel Stoop), fishing (love Chaffinch Island in Guilford & Nantucket, too), browsing bookstores with Java Chip Frap in hand and watching foreign films.
